The figures you now see on this page belong to several collectors. The 28mm French Hussars belong to Bill Gaskin and they are a joy to paint. The ‘guy’ to our left was designed by Mark Copplestone and shows Napoleon as the ‘First Consul’ as he would have appeared at Marengo in 1800. And below , there are 40mm Perry Miniatures in the possession of Alan Perry. The 28mm British and Allied ‘Front Rank and Perry miniatures are in the collection of Stephen Maughan.

The Napoleonic era is, and has always been, the most fascinating period I ever painted. In recent years, I have developed a love affair with the Perry miniature ranges in 28mm and also 40mm. This Peninsular War 40mm scale is wonderful as it is possible to recreate the colour of Napoleonics more extravagently. From a humble painter’s point of view, these are some of the finest miniatures I have ever seen.
